Yaró (Harpy in the Amazon Yanomami language) is a rugged and reliable 150kg (330lbs.) aircraft designed for flexible payload integration, and operation in extreme environments.

Yaró is a UAS family of products commercially launched in 2008. Our first commercial model was the venerable 450 single-engine, then followed by our dependable flagship, the Yaró 650 twin-engine model in 2009

Since then, Yaró are periodically upgraded to take advantage of advances in electronics miniaturization and sensor detection range, enabling us to increase aircraft speed, flight height and range capabilities.

Autopilot

The Yaró 150 autopilot is developed in compliance with the DO178C / ED-12 and DO254 standards ensuring software and hardware reliability. DO160/MIL-STD-810 tests are performed to test vibration, temperature and other environmental conditions.

Fully autonomous, assisted manual, full manual and Fly-By-Camera con- trol modes can be defined so the operator can take control at any time during the operation. Together with the vehicle and flight control, it includes tools for the automatization and customization of payload, failsafe… to ensure 100% autonomous operations.

The autopilot is able to activate the payload autonomously, or it can be done manually.

Embeds dual GNSS for GPS positioning, providing GNSS attitude estimation. And redundant IMU and barometer increase reliability and performance.

Through a user-friendly interface it allows operators to program the most varied missions for which the system provides cm-level RTK positioning without extra hardware.

The autopilot includes avoidance algorithms to automatically avoid fixed and moving obstacles. Using optional ADS-B can automatically generate these obstacles on the map.

The Ground Control infrastructure for this aircraft includes an embedded ground control unit together with the internal radio and the advanced GNSS antenna for precise navigation and communications with the onboard unit.

Yaró 150 is controlled via Wifi, from any tablet, or touchscreen laptop.

An optional tracking antenna system including directional and omnidirectional antennas increase Yaró datalink range to >200km.
